Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood - Nancy & Lee (1968)

I haven't lost that lovin' feelin'.. and if you don't like it, you don't know nothin fr nothin. From deep down in the depths (oh yes) comes Hazlewood's voice, spinning lonesome gospel, creating a subtle comfort unlike any other. It's like listening to grandpa tell stories about the war. Then in comes Nancy with her freshly baked cookies, making everything seem fine and free. "It's OK everyone! We've made it!" she shouts, bursting with innocence. They're the cutest duo in music history, and at the same time the saddest.

"She took my silver spurs, a dollar and a dime..."
